Cycling Support Riders

Calling all Cyclists
Green exercise is a buzz word for exercising out of doors and a lot of people already participate in health walks around Dudley Borough.
If you enjoy cycling and would like to help ex-cyclists and complete novices over the age of 50 to gain the benefits of riding a bicycle both as a means of transport and to enhance their health, please read on.
Age Concern Dudley's LEAP Over 60 Project will be launching 'Get Cycling for 50 Plus' later in the year and is looking for volunteer Cycling Support Riders to escort people on short, local rides starting with 30-minutes based around the 'Healthy Towns' hubs of Mary Stevens Park (Stourbridge), The Dell (Pensnett), Silver Jubilee Park (Coseley), Netherton Park and Huntingtree Park (Halesowen). Training for volunteers will be provided in early March 2010.
If you would like to join the team of volunteers, please contact Maggie Thompson on 01384 343535 or email: leapover60@ageconcerndudley.org.uk.
