Age Concern Dudley is a registered charity working to ensure that older people in the borough of Dudley get the information, encouragement and support they need to make later life as fulfilling and rewarding as possible.
As well as providing the services listed below we offer information and support to local groups working with older people in the Dudley borough.
Day Care & Drop-in
Day Care is one of Age Concern Dudley`s core services operating from Dudley Day Centre, Stafford Street, Dudley.
The service is a hub of activity which has been achieved through consultation with service users, staff and volunteers. Staff and volunteers working at all levels are encouraged to work as part of a team to ensure we deliver a professional, supportive and friendly service where older people can feel comfortable in an relaxing and stimulating environment.
Gardening
The gardening scheme is a subsidised service, to help improve the quality of life for older people, helping them to live independently in the community.
Good Neighbour
The Good Neighbour Scheme is an initiative spearheaded by Age Concern Dudley and dedicated to reducing the social isolation and loneliness experienced by many older people through the Dudley Borough.
Stay Safe (Accident Prevention)
The ethos of the project is to encourage older people to conduct risk assessments within their home environment and make changes to enhance the safety of their environment, if necessary with the help of neighbours or relatives, or in the absence of available support, by contacting the Accident Prevention Project Co-ordinator.
